“The process is central to my work. I transpose landscape, architecture or people into the open evolution of my pieces. Through the raw action of repeatedly adding layers and repainting, both objects and paintings emerge.”
Aldo van den Broek, born 1985 in the Netherlands, is a self-taught visual artist. He is known for his striking, multi-layered artworks. Aldo van den Broek is represented by Galerie Ron Mandos, Amsterdam.
The exhibition PALIMPSEST TBILISI is an artistic response to the city of Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.
The opening will take place on 12 September 2014, from 18.00 until 21.00. The artist will be present.

PALIMPSEST TBILISI will be open daily from 13 to 27 September 2014, from 12.00 until 18.00.
During Berlin Art Week, from 19 to 21 September, the exhibition will be open from 12.00 until 22.00.
OTTO – the international art and music project for the cello, begins on 14 September 2014 at 13.00. It will be presented by the French cellist Céline Papion and the artist Aldo van den Broek.
